Project Area of Specialization Wearables and ImplantableProject SummaryIn this system,we introduce a drone surveillance system
using acoustic arrays. A new TDOA estimation algorithm
and a localization algorithm are proposed in order to localize
and track the drone more accurately. Field experiments are
conducted to verify the the effectiveness and the performance
of these methods. It proves that this system can localize and
track the drone effectively.
Project ObjectivesIn the project,we built a drones surveillances using acoustic arrays for drone localization and tracking. We propose a series of algorithms to improve the accuracy of localization and tracking. Three dimensional trajectory of the ?ying drone can be calculated
in real time.
Project Implementation MethodIn the project, the acoustic arrays are used to sample the
surrounding acoustic signal periodically and the processing
center is used to control acoustic signal sampling, to access
the data and to run the localization and tracking algorithms.
For this system, we proposed a series of new algorithms which
mainly include TDOA estimate algorithm based Gauss priori
probability and a high precision localization method for drone
localization.
Benefits of the ProjectDrone survaillance using acoustic arrays, as a
promising drone surveillance system, could circumvent the
above limitations and be used to localize and track the
drone.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe project will consist of array of mics which will detect the acoustic signals and process it to the system where GPS module will detect the location of the system if Machine learning algorithm senses if the incoming wave is of drone while removing the noise. And also calculates the real-time distance and angle of the drone.
