Project Summary

We have been looking for what we wanted to do for the project. After long discussions, we decided to follow our lifelong dream of becoming animators and producing indie movies. What motivated the idea was of producing YouTube animated cartoon series. The series will be about a kid, the world around us has changed a ton. To differentiate between good and bad is not as easy as before. The future and present generations are also deprived of proper guidance. So, the kid is one from the present, he faces all these difficult situations and gets his guidance from a wise man.

Project Objectives

We have proposed an animated movie project. Computer graphics and animation are one of the top-notch branches of Computer Science. We want to learn about different animation engines and get hands-on knowledge about them during the production of the proposed movie. We are planning on learning and mastering, Photoshop, illustrator, blender, unity, cartoon animator, etc

Project Implementation Method

During our bachelor's degree, we have used Unity3D to make a game. So, setting up scenes, rigging characters is already something we have done. The rest is new to us.

The animation is the process of projecting sequenced images quickly, one after the other, to create the illusion of life. Here is the workflow of creating animation.

• Story
• Script
• Concept art (visual style of the movie)
• Storyboard
• Animatic (edit sketches with the correct timing, add some temporary music and sound effects)
• Creating Assets (create the models, characters, environments, sets, and finalize the background)
• Animation
• Texturing, Lighting, Rendering
• Composing

Some other important features that we take care of are shooting reference videos, Key posing, Blocking, Splining, Smoothing, and Adding life to the characters.

Benefits of the Project

The goal of this project is to make a 3D animated movie with a blend of entertainment and a great message. We are concerned with the storyline, design, drawing, layout, and production of a graphically rich and attractive short movie

Pakistan lags behind in the animation industry. The industry can be huge in the future with more people seeping into the field. Our children are watching foreign content, which has a negative impact on the children. We have such a rich culture that we can pass on to the children.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

3D animation is usually a huge project, but since we are a group of two, we will share roles in most tasks. We completely understand the power of teamwork and we have put forward much amazing software and non-software projects during the past 3.5 years
