UV radiation is a known disinfectant for air, water, and nonporous surfaces. For this reason, UV-C lamps are often called "germicidal" lamps. UV-C light sources are one of the alternative Technology for germicidal. The purpose of using these lights is to investigate the germicidal response on the surface of the product or personal belongings are transported on a stainless-steel conveyor the product is treated with ultraviolet light so that the UV-C lamps below the belt are sanitizing the goods from the bottom side. The UV-C sanitizing tunnel is designed for a 360-degree UV-C bacteria disinfection. The machine has a low operation temperature, and it as well as it has a fast processing time, and a low power consumption rate, and one of the characteristics of tunnels is the interior of the tunnel is required to provide appropriate lighting to ensure the product is disinfected. It will be Arduino interfaced with motor and sensors, proximity sensor for using object detection, and counter for the product that has passed through the tunnel. The UV-C disinfection of devices can be used on daily or household items, such as phones, keys, or packaging materials, in today’s time of various possible futures in which pandemics like COVID-19 are more commonplace.

Project Objectives Project Implementation Method

We will design a structure that contains the UV-C lights attached to achieve almost 360-degree angles inside the tunnel. We will use Arduino to control dc motors, which will move the conveyor belt and the photoelectric sensor will detect the object/bag activates the motor and UV-C lights inside the tunnel, the object will remain for 20 seconds in the tunnel also, the proximity sensor will detect if there will be any metal or weapon in the bag.
